Art has always been an interest of mine though I may not be the most artistic. Despite my lack of talent in it, I've always enjoyed viewing art pieces, sculptures, paintings, and anything else artsy. A couple weeks ago, John Bailly's "Pax Romana" gallery landed a place here at Texas State. Bailly is an artist from Florida who does mostly large-scale paintings and other forms of artwork on paper. I was fortunate enough to go to the art gallery right before the presentation was done. Though there wasn't really too much there to see, all the paintings were just so beautiful. Even though the gallery isn't featuring Bailly's work anymore, I'm pretty sure there will be more amazing artists in the future. More artwork is available all semester long in the galleries of the Joann Cole Mitte building.
