Convocation

The Texas State New Student Convocation was held at Strahan Collisium and was lead by guest speaker Lyndon Nugent. Boko the bobcat also mad an appearance and, with the help of the Texas State cheerleaders, he taught all the incoming freshman some cheers and chants that can be used in sporting events. Bret Baker, student body president, also said some few choice words in the Convocation as well. Following the Convoaction a picnic was held in sewell Park where dozens of vendors gave out free merchandise to endorse thier company. All in all it was a good time and the free food made it better in the end .
